Goldfinch birds are about the length of a stick of butter and have cone-shaped beaks. Their wings are black and white, and some have a black patch on top of their heads. During the winter months, both males and females have brownish feathers on their bodies. In warmer months the males' feathers are bright yellow.
This is an original acrylic line painting created by Geoff Slater.
It has been painted with one single line that changes colour, but never touches or crosses itself. The canvas is the white in the background. It is framed (in a black wooden floating frame) and ready to hang on the wall, but can easily sit on a shelf as well.
